Galena Country Fair in Grant Park, Galena

Step into the heart of fall fun at the Galena Country Fair, a two-day celebration filled with creativity, flavor, and community spirit. This event takes place in Galena's Grant Park. Browse more than 100 booths featuring handpicked artisans offering everything from home décor and seasonal goods to clothing, jewelry, toys, and photography, all handmade with care.

Come hungry and thirsty! Enjoy a wide variety of food vendors along with craft beer, cocktails, and local favorites from the Gazebo Wine Garden, including Galena Cellars wine and sangria.

It’s a weekend the whole family can enjoy, with live music, a kids’ games area, a playground, silent auction, raffles, and more. Whether you’re here to shop, sip, or simply soak up the atmosphere, the Galena Country Fair is packed with ways to make memories.

What happens if there is inclement weather?
The fair takes place rain or shine, with no rain date or alternate indoor location.

A $3 suggested donation at the gate for entry.

Enjoy free parking at three designated remote lots, with complimentary shuttle service to and from the fairgrounds. Shuttles run regularly throughout the event for your convenience.

While the ride is free, donations are welcome—look for the donation boxes on each shuttle to support this service.

Shuttle Schedule

Shuttles run every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, transporting fairgoers between the remote parking lots and Green Street Plaza in downtown Galena.

• Galena High School - Shuttles load in the upper/northwest parking lot of the high school
• Alice T. Virtue Swimming Pool - Shuttles load near the entrance of the pool parking lot

Shuttle Drop-Off Location

All shuttles drop off at Green Street Plaza near Galena City Hall (101 Green St.), just steps from the west side of the pedestrian bridge. From there, it's a short walk across the bridge to Grant Park. Please note: there are stairs on both ends of the bridge.

• Alice T. Virtue Swimming Pool, 1811 Field St.

Paid Parking

Limited, paid parking is available at the Depot Parking Lot (91 Bouthillier St.) located on the east side of the Galena River near the Old Train Depot.

Accessible Parking

A very limited number of accessible parking spots are available at the Old Train Depot lot (101 Bouthillier Street, at the corner of Park Avenue and Bouthillier Street). To access this lot, show your accessible parking permit to the traffic attendant at the intersection. If space is available, you’ll be directed to the lot.

Please note: accessible parking is no longer available on Johnson Street.

Can I bring my pet to the Galena Country Fair?
Pets are not permitted at the Galena Country Fair. Only individually trained service dogs that perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities are allowed in Grant Park during the event. Please note that emotional support animals are not recognized as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 

How Do I Become a Vendor?

To be considered for the fair, vendors must complete the forms and submit all required information by March 31 of the fair year. To submit an application, click here.

Restrooms
Portable restrooms will be available at both the southwest and northeast ends of Grant Park. Accessible portable restrooms are located near Johnson Street and across the park near the large pavilion.

Are there ATMs in the park?
Yes. During the fair weekend, two ATMs will be available in Grant Park. One is located near the Grab ‘N Go tent, and the other is at the back of the park by the white pavilion
