The familiar “clip clop” of horse hooves will be heard throughout Galena’s downtown. On board the horse-drawn wagon sporting revelers is a celebrated guest that will have the entire town in merriment all weekend—Galena Cellars’ Nouveau wine.Galena comes alive to welcome this limited edition wine created from the “new grapes” of the fall harvest.
Festivities begin on Friday as many local restaurants serve Nouveau wine-inspired luncheon specials.
A horse-drawn wagon leads a parade down Galena’s Main Street to distribute the new release to area businesses. Following the Parade, wine and cheese receptions and live entertainment can be found throughout the downtown, including at Paradise Bar & Grille and Benjamin’s. Nouveau dinner specials are featured at a variety of restaurants throughout the area all weekend long.
On Saturday, the celebration continues. Additional dinner and drink specials are served at many of the local restaurants and pubs.
